Just when I thought I’d seen every hydrangea under the sun, today’s walk offered a surprise. Typically I see pinks, blues, whites, and the vivid crimson I shared earlier this spring, was a variety I’d never encountered before: the Pistachio Hydrangea. Aptly named, it dazzled with multicolored petals—soft greens and yellows and a sudden splash of blue that stole my attention. It’s rare to be stopped in your tracks by something so quietly dramatic. What an unexpected joy. Enjoy!
