The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the neighborhood streets as I was on one of my usual walks always alert for any captivating subjects when I encountered the unexpected.
Amidst the foliage, nestled inconspicuously, stood a tree unlike any I’d seen before. Its branches bore clusters of fruit, each one a miniature work of art. I halted, forgetting my fast pace when I was drawn to this botanical enigma.
At first glance, I thought it might be a cherry tree. The vibrant red orbs seemed to beckon, promising sweetness. But as I stepped closer, my photographer’s eye discerned the details, the delicate spots that adorned the surface. Not cherries.
Curiosity ablaze, I pulled out Google Lens embarking on a digital quest. A few taps later, the mystery unraveled: Kousa Dogwood Fruit. The name itself held a certain elegance, like a whispered secret.
I was tempted to pluck a ripe berry but thought better than taking someone's fruit so decided I would capture the scene and move on after adding a new chapter to my visual diary.  Enjoy!
