During this time of year, I'm always on the lookout for Common or Christmas Holly while I stroll around the neighborhood. Recently, I stumbled upon a branch that was poking right out into the middle of the sidewalk, practically begging to be noticed. Naturally, I had to stop and capture its beauty. It's not every day that you find such a perfect, solitary branch; usually, they’re buried within the bushy mass. This one was a delightful exception.
The leaves were a deep, rich green hue, their glossy surfaces reflecting the sparse fall sunlight. The bright red berries clustered along the branch, almost glowing with their vibrancy and free of imperfections. It was such a captivating sight that it felt like a small holiday miracle amidst an otherwise ordinary walk. These little encounters with nature’s wonders are truly uplifting and remind me to appreciate the simple joys around us. Enjoy!
