I first noticed these purple berries a few weeks ago, but it wasn’t until now that I could get close enough to photograph them properly. They appear in the fall, and I’ve grown quite fond of them. Their vibrant purple berries and soft green leaves create a lovely contrast on an otherwise plain bush. They have a rather lengthy scientific name, Callicarpa dichotoma, but are more commonly known as Purple Beauty-Berry. Quite fitting, don’t you think?  Enjoy!
