This is one of those plants that at this time of year puts out these deep red berries after their white flowers fade away.  I often walk by this plant at Magnuson Park and when I saw it the leaves looked a little sad but the berries still have lots of color.  This is called coralberry, buckbrush or Indian currant and apparently is a woody species of flowering plant in the honeysuckle family.
