This caught my eye on today's walkabout. I am thinking this is early Heather (Calluna vulgaris) but I am not certain. I just liked the way the red, yellow and green melded together in these tiny stems that were poking out of a pile of leaves, branches and other debris. Each stem is about 2-3 inches long and had such nice color that I could not resist stopping for a closeup look. Enjoy
