I rarely come across Yucca plants during my neighborhood strolls, and when I do, they often go unnoticed because they don't seem particularly interesting—except in moments like this. Some Yuccas feature a tall cluster of white flowers towering above long and broad leaves, while others, like this one, are more compact with greenish-yellow flowers accented with purple. This particular plant caught my eye on an early December outing because its blooms were just starting to emerge, which seemed unusual so long after the summer growing season.  Enjoy!
