Walked by this today and was drawn to the bright red color. This is a Camelia, a plant I see often as I walk the hood. This one drew my attention because it was right beside the sidewalk when I saw it so I had to stop and admire the color of the petals and the yellow stamen along with the deep green leaves. Usually when I see these plants the blooms are close to one another. weather damaged but this one was all by itself and easily photographed so I had to stop. Enjoy.
