This is the first one of these that I have seen this season...Witch Hazel is rather common but usually when I see it I have to stop and admire just because these flowers a so interesting. I really like the way the yellow petals dangle and the little bit of red contrasts well with the overall look of the flower. What you see here is actually rather small, only about one or two inches across the petals but up close it makes for an intense flower with so much detail. Enjoy.
