Even with the cooler temperatures and fall rains, I can still find one of my favorite flowers. These blooms captivate me with their rich hues of purple and red, accented by a touch of yellow at the tips of the anthers, all set against deep green leaves. I always have to stop and admire them because, with a bit of imagination, they resemble tiny people in billowing purple dresses, red wings, and lots of tiny yellow feet. If you look closely, you'll spot two very small insects: a tiny aphid on top of the flower on the left and, under the second leaf from the top on the left, a spider or perhaps an ant. Enjoy!
